One such reason may be to look cool and sexy, and to impress other people such your friends, family, or even total strangers with your tenacity in getting a tattoo. Another reason is when you are an artistic woman and you want your own body as the canvass or the painting of pictures you like or imagine. You may also perceive tattoos as a mode of self-expression using your own body, which is to emphasize your individuality and own personality as a person. It may also be professional reasons or to use the tattoos for your professional career. Of course, it would not of any use for normal jobs in the office but it would be very helpful if you are a model, an actress, or a dancer. Tattoos undoubtedly boost the sexiness level or sex appeal of a woman, which complements or emphasizes certain sexy parts you want the others to see. As we all know, tattoos are drawn and embedded in the skin, which if tattooed in the ordinary way through needles, it will be a permanent mark on your skin. The only way to remove is through laser technology which is a very expensive process and may also leave scars on the skin, especially for the delicate skin of a woman. Since this is the least noticeable part of the body, especially when you are wearing shoes, you should try the tattoo here first. Tattoos For Girls - Choosing the Right Tattoo For You

Nowadays there is a vast variety of tattoo design and body location combinations that make fantastic tattoos for girls and it can often be difficult to decide which tattoo design to ink, and where to site it. This article is dedicated to girls looking for ideas and advice to help them plan their next tattoo. In the past it was mainly men who decorated their bodies with tattoos, however over the past 50 years or so tattoos for girls have also become incredibly popular. The rise in the popularity of tattoos among girls followed the women's rights movement, as social attitudes changed to embrace equality. While many girls still prefer the classic tattoo designs styles and body locations that are also popular among men, recent decades has also seen an explosion in incredibly feminine and elegant tattoo design styles that have been developed especially for female tattoo enthusiasts. There are so many different design styles around that there really is something for everyone. There are so many options for girls planning a new tattoo that choosing a design and where to ink it can be rather daunting. It is incredibly important to really take your time making a decision. Tattoos are permanent and girls who get inked on the spare of the moment usually live to regret it. The two biggest choices to make when planning a new tattoo are which design to ink, and where on the body to ink it. Some girls prefer to pick the design first, and then think about where best to have it tattooed, while other girls pick the body location first. There is no right or wrong way, although I personally recommend considering both the design and body area simultaneously when planning a new tattoo. There are a wide range of tattoo designs available, and I strongly suggest you browse through as much top quality artwork as possible to get some initial ideas about what you like. A tattoo is a very personal thing, and I recommend choosing a design that not only looks fantastic, but also has some significance to you. Some of the most popular design styles that make for fantastic tattoos for girls include (in no particular order) bird, butterfly, Celtic, cross, dolphin, eagle, fairy, fish, flower, heart, rose, star, tiger, tribal, and zodiac tattoos, although many more design styles are widely available. In addition to the design itself, it is also important to think about the colours that you want to incorporate in to your tattoo. Some girls love really colourful tattoos, and choose to ink designs such as butterflies, birds, and flowers. Other women prefer more classic tattoo designs inked in black, such as the very distinctive tribal and Celtic design styles. Some of the most popular body areas for girls include the wrist, arm, back, lower back, belly button, foot, leg, neck, and shoulder. When choosing where to site a new tattoo, there are a number of factors that must be carefully considered. Firstly, many girls must consider how visible they want their tattoo be to. A large number of women have employers who enforce strict no tattoo policies, and will therefore need to select an area of the body that can be covered up easily. Other girls prefer to ink highly conspicuous designs that are easily shown off to the world. Another factor that will greatly influence your body location options is the size of the tattoo that you plan to ink. Very large tattoos will obviously need a big canvas such as the back, chest, arms, or legs. Many girls, especially girls planning their first tattoos, prefer to ink relatively small designs, and these can be sited pretty much anywhere. Some areas of the body can only accommodate small tattoos, such as the wrist, ankle and foot. Pain is another factor that is important to many people, especially newbies inking their first tattoos. Generally speaking, bony areas of the body, such as the ankle, are more painful to ink than more flesh areas such as the upper arm. The size of the design is also important, as larger designs take longer to ink, meaning that the associated pain has to be endured for longer.

Tattoo Designs - Which to Choose?

Choosing a tattoo for the first time can be a hard thing to do, especially when the tattoo is going to be permanent on your body for the rest of your life. Now which tattoo designs should you choose? First thing you need to consider is WHY you are getting the tattoo, what is your motive behind the tattoo? What do you want to express through the tattoo? This will surely help you cut down your search options so that you can choose the perfect tattoo design that you want. I have a few in my mind that I don't mind sharing, so here they are: - If you enjoy outside stuff such as trees, nature in general, animals, and other things, you can use this as a motivation to get the tattoo in this category. - Another thing you can think about is if you love art. What kind of artist comes to your mind, what kind of art design comes to your mind and stuff along those areas. - There are a lot of people out there that use famous people such as poets, music artists and what not. - These days, I myself have seen many people use Graffiti type of tattoo's on their body all the time. - Many people these days are also looking at Tribal or Celtic types of tattoo's to show off on their body. - Some of the other tattoo designs include cultural tattoos, historical tattoos, etc. - You know what would be a good idea, getting Abstract Tattoo's on your body. I have seen people use this type as well. - A unique way to express is writing quotes in different languages on your body as well. - Maybe you can try tattoo mixing? Perhaps mix several different tattoos into some type of tattoo? You know what would make you really stand out is if you created your OWN type of tattoo. Sure, you can go to a Tattoo parlor and get a random tattoo through a design book, but does it really make sense to be unoriginal? Would you not like to be creative and want to stand out from the crowd? You can create your own types of tattoo(s) if you want. Let me share a few ideas with you just to give you a head start. - Neck to Leg, Full out Fire Dragon on back or front of body - Crying baby from your neck to your legs on your back or front These are just a few ideas that you may consider. In all my years of tattoo designing and studying, I have never seen those kinds of tattoos done to anyone before, so this may be a good chance for you to snag a pretty good design or designs. Now you maybe thinking, why create my own tattoos when I can just get a already created one? As I've said above, it's better to be unique than to carry an overused tattoo. You can add your OWN personal touch to your tattoo. Add as much detail you want to your tattoo, as much as you want. Just remember than the bigger in details your tattoo is, the more expensive your tattoo may get, depending on which tattoo parlor you go to, just keep that in mind. There is one type of tattoo that interests me the most out of everything and that is Full Sleeve Tattoo Designs. What is it you may ask? Full sleeve tattoo design is the popularity tattoo designs that not are only carried by a regular person, but famous people such as celebrities, soccer players, football players, basketball players and other sports people carry, as well as many other types of famous people. One of the main reasons as to why people really do this type of tattooing is because they want to unravel a story that they are trying to give off. For example, I have seen a famous soccer player that carries a full arm tattoo and his tattoo signifies what he loves, which is soccer and the love for his country. People in this type of tattooing always express personal touches and personal expressions. There is one thing that I would like to warn you about and what to do about it. You are going to be stuck with a tattoo for a LONG, LONG time, so you might as well choose a tattoo worth your while. So you should do what some famous people have done. Start your tattoo design off small, meaning start your tattoo design small and then work your way up from there. The beauty of having new technology is that you can see how a tattoo will look on you before you wear it, so be sure to look on the computer to see if the tattoo is right for you or not. Start off with a small tattoo and then work your way from there. Carefully choose every portion of your tattoo remembering that you WILL be stuck with this tattoo for a very long time. You may want to put several small tattoos together to make a larger tattoo or you could put a few large tattoos together to make a rather large, but unique tattoo to show off. So basically, after all of the information I have shared with you in this article, I just want to sum it all up by giving you a short summary. What I have talked to you above in this article can be summarized like this: 1. Gather up a design idea for your tattoo (either from a design book or your own design) 2. Finalize on a design that will perfectly suit you and the type of person you are. 3. Find a tattoo artist a. This shouldn't be much of a hard task at all. Every city has tattoo designs, just look on the Internet if you have trouble. 4. Test your tattoo design 5. Have your tattoo design done on your body.

Tattoos-Popular Tattoo Designs for Girls

Girls are always asking me what tattoos they should get or what I think are the hottest tattoos for girls. Unfortunately there is no clear cut answer simply because there are as many different types of tattoos are there are girls. What one person might find sexy another might consider unattractive or very unfeminine. Certain styles of tattoos might not suit the image you want to project. For example certain work environments may not accept highly visible tattoos even though tattoos are becoming more and more accepted. It may be wise to hold off getting that sacred heart tattoo emblazoned across your chest if your boss is going to flip out if (s)he sees it! So in saying that what I hope to do in this short article is offer my insight and experience within the tattoo industry for the past 9 or 10 years and point out the current tattoo trends and what the most popular styles of tattoos are for girls. At the end of the day you want a tattoo that has lasting appeal and not a tattoo that was done on a whim. If I give you some good ideas for your next tattoo all the better... Trends come and go. What was cool ten years ago is no longer cool. In the nineties certain types of tattoos such as cartoon characters like Betty Boop, barbed wire armbands and dolphins were in. Looking at them now they appear very cheesy and basic. Tattoo art has come such a long way in the past few years even. Certain styles of tattoos have become perennial and have risen to a point where they are getting the respect and acknowledged they deserve for their intricacy and artistry. Styles as diverse as Japanese tattoos, Indian/Hindu tattoos, Anime, Traditional American and Floral designs are raising the bar higher and higher and becoming increasingly popular. Alongside that is the fact that people are beginning to see their skin as a human canvas and not just settling for random tattoos placed haphazardly on a part of the body that is hidden. Nowadays more and more girls are getting larger tattoos and more of them. This may explain the popularity of Japanese tattoos. In traditional Japanese tattoos each character has a meaning and interacts with the other tattoo designs as part of the whole. The same is true for Traditional American tattoos. Previously what were once done as individual tattoos from disparate elements of American culture are now being woven into an organic and is more like a story unfolding. Top Five Most Popular Tattoos for Girls Irezumi - Traditional Japanese tattoos - More and more girls are asking for large tattoo designs such as koi fish, dragons on their hips, back and arms. Traditional American tattoos - Old school 'Sailor Jerry' tattoos and images such as classic American cars, pin-ups, swallows and nautical stars are becoming more popular on girls chests, abdomen, back and legs. Floral tattoos - So many girls are getting flower tattoos as full sleeve tattoos or covering their entire back or legs with floral designs. Flower tattoo designs such as lotus flowers, peonies, orchids, chrysanthemums and flowering vines are the most popular. Anime - Japanese animation has become massive and doesn't show any sign of disappearing any time soon. As a result Anime tattoos have become popular in the past five years or so. The only risk with Anime tattoo is that unlike other styles will probably age much quicker even though it looks great now. Indian / Hindu tattoo designs - Like ancient Indian texts and spirituality being rediscovered by people in the West since the 1960's it has been reflected in the demand for Indian tattoo designs. They say everything old become new again. Finally the most important decision is not to get a tattoo on a whim or choose a tattoo that you think is cute or trendy. Give it a lot of thought. Good art should last. Think of Mona Lisa's smile...

Cute Ankle Tattoos For Girls - Classically Feminine Choices For Tats

When you're a girl thinking about getting a tattoo, there are lots of options open to you. But the most feminine spots for tats are the lower back and the ankle. Ankle tattoos in particular are a great choice because they draw attention to the leg and look great in heels. Cute ankle tattoos for girls are found in many different styles, designs, and shapes. A lot of women and girls think that the ankle is the ideal location for tattoos because it's easy to show them off and easy to cover up if you need to. They are a great way to show off the smooth and sleek shape of the leg, so if you have toned and beautiful calves then the ankle is a great location for a tattoo. They're great ways to celebrate summer, as you're mostly living in shorts and sandals during the hot summer months. But it's easy to pull on a pair of jeans and pants if you need to cover up for work or a formal occasion where you want to conceal your tattoo. Ankle tats are also small, so they are usually on the cheaper end of the tattoo spectrum. Taking a look at the flash art displayed in tattoo studios, or online at Internet tattoo design galleries can show you just how many designs are possible. You can go with something soft and classically girly, like a butterfly, flower, or heart. Or you can go with something a little rougher to show your tomboy side. You can choose from wraparound styles that look like anklet bracelets, or you can tattoo a single image on the outside of the ankle. There are a few logistical drawbacks to getting an ankle tattoo, namely irritation and pain. Because the ankle is at the end of the leg, ankle tats are prone to bleeding more, so try to stay off your feet for at least a few hours and take it easy for the next few days after getting inked. And if you're getting an ankle tat, it's best to get it in the warm months when you can keep jeans and pants from rubbing on it to irritate it. Ankle tattoos are also typically more painful than other types of tattoos because of their location. Fleshier areas of the body with more muscle tissue like biceps and thighs are less painful, but areas of thin skin overlaying a bone are going to hurt worse. Unfortunately, this means your ankle tattoo will probably be one of the more painful types.

Tattoo Positions

The style and design of your choice of tattoo remain of most importance. However a key factor to consider when planning your new, or even first piece of art must be its position on your body. This is an intensely personal choice, and must not hindered by outside influences such as partners and family members. The position of your new tattoo may have a bearing on a future career and also on where you can place future tattoos, should you choose to have more. So it's an important part of the planning process. Below is a list of potential tattoo positions. With some of their plus and minus points. 1. Biceps. A great place to start. I find this location to be the easiest to deal with the inevitable pain involved in the tattoo, possibly due to the amount of flesh under the skin. Be aware that if you're planning any kind of sleeve in the future to decide now on the tattoo style. Two or more different styles on the sleeve might not work as well as one continuous one. 2. Forearms. Similar to the bicep area. Easy area for the tattoo artist to work on. Not as painful as some other areas. The key here is that in the summer weather your tattoo WILL BE VISIBLE. You need to be comfortable with that. Also bear in mind the point about the full sleeve mentioned at number 1. 3. Legs (upper and Lower). Won't be as frequently visible as the arms (unless you're a nudist) except when you're wearing shorts. The upper leg is fleshy so the pain is similar to that of the bicep. The lower you go the less flesh there is (on most people) and it will smart more. 4. Back (upper and lower). Consider how big your tattoo is going to be. If the design requires size in order for it to work then think about a full back piece. This will work a lot better than lots of individual tattoos all over your back (which look stupid and ill thought out in my opinion). If it's a smaller design then consider the left or right shoulder-blade for placement. This is an ideal location and is very popular. There's less flesh in this area so it will probably hurt more. Putting a small design right in the middle of your back will look silly as the body area is too big for it. Either go upper or lower. A popular position these days is along the lower back. Most tribal and script designs are well suited to this position. In my opinion this is a more sensitive area and will hurt more. Anything around the spinal area will definitely hurt more. But everybody's different. Obviously unless the sun is out not many people are going to see these tattoos. This may be a positive aspect if you're looking to keep the tattoo more intimate. 5. Chest/Stomach. Similar really to the back area in that if the design is big it can cover the whole area. Smaller designs should be positioned on the left or right pec/breast. The tattoo artist can go around your nipples and they should not compromise the design. I find the stomach to be a very sensitive area pain wise, more so that the chest. But like I said everybody's different. 6. Head/face. Unless you're a truly hardcore tattoo fan I'd stay away from these areas. They are the parts of your body that are always exposed to weather so they are likely to deteriorate/age a lot quicker. They are very "in your face" (no pun intended). You will get stared at a lot in public. They will hurt a lot due to the lack of flesh. 7. Hands/wrists. Not as "in your face" as the head but they will still get noticed. The areas are lacking in flesh so will hurt more than other locations. Hand tattoos are more popular these days, especially with the ladies. There are many designs that suit the hands well and tend to be more intricate, smaller designs. The hand could also be incorporated into an arm sleeve design so think about your long-term tattoo plans before covering this area. 8. Ankles/feet. Another set of areas that could be incorporated in a leg sleeve so again think about your long-term plans. These are easily hidden and can remain somewhat intimate.
